Today I learned that even though Mama supports an inquisitive spirit, sometimes she won't answer my questions! If it's an adult sort of word, why did she very nearly choke on her soup when she's an adult herself?

Because hearing adult words from someone who's not supposed to know them can be pretty shocking, Mileina. Especially when they're unexpected.
