Papa called and said that his car broke down... I don't mind waiting for him to pick me up at all, because I don't have any more classes at the middle school today and I know that since Papa's a mechanic he'll definitely fix it properly before very long! But since I don't have very much to do while he fixes it, would you mind very much if I came back to your dorm with you, Pearl? It should only be about an hour, he said! And I can sit quietly and do my physics homework if you have important things to get done!
