008. [RL with Lockon]

[ She wasn't scared, she really wasn't scared! It was just dark, and running under high lockdown was very stressful, and there were strange banging noises, and it was almost worse now that Miss Trinity had shut down all the cameras so she didn't have any idea at all what was going on in Mr. Erde's room, and her papa had been yelling at the crew to find out what in the blazes was going on-- but she was a Mature Young Lady who wasn't afraid at all.

She didn't want to bother Papa and Mama, not when they were so busy, even though she knew that she could go to them about anything at any time. Besides, she had to show them that she was mature and helpful! Mr. Seiei had suggested she talk to Mr. Stratos, and since she was very sure he wasn't busy and he had been so kind before, she was now standing outside his room, knocking on the door. ]

Mr. Stratos? Are you in?

W-well, but... no one's allowed to come here, are they? To fix him? What do we do?

The only thing we can do is wait. This fog can't last forever, right? And when it disappears, without its affects he might just go back to normal on his own. If he doesn't, well, those people will still be around on the community afterwards. We could negotiate the secrecy in that situation.

We can work something out whatever happens, right? It'll be fine.

[and there is none of his own unease, worry or frustration in his tone, it's all determined, confident reassurance.]

[ deeeeeep breath ] You're right, Mr. Stratos. I'm being very silly! Mr. Erde is-- is-- [ .....and there she goes again, bawling into his shirt ] I'm okay! I'm n-not scared!

[and with that he's hugging her again k :<] You're not being silly, Mileina. It's okay to be a little bit scared, you know? But trust me, it'll be okay.

But-- but Mr. Erde doesn't get scared, right? I want to be someone who's really good at everything like him, so...!

[somehow it doesn't seem like a good idea to completely smash all your perceptions of him also Tieria would kill me if I told anyone how much he'd cried on me....]

Everyone gets scared sometimes, even Tieria. We're only human. And this isn't the best of situations; being scared is nothing to be ashamed of.

[ she's sniffling still, but she's calming down, relaxing into hugging him normally rather than TRAUMA'D SQUEEZE OF DEATH ] Oh... that's right. You've probably been with Mr. Erde during a lot of scary things, haven't you? ...Are you sure he gets scared?

[ THAT IS A GOOD SIGN. ] I guess you could say I have. I'm sure, yeah. He's a strong guy, and he doesn't show it much, but he still feels emotions same as you or me, and that includes fear too. Like I said, everyone gets scared sometimes.

[areyoulovers]

[ nodnod :< she lets go, contriving to look MATURE AND UNDERSTANDING but she also looks rather calmer ] I just want to make Mr. Erde proud of me, when he gets better! I'm sorry for bothering you. [ But she doesn't sound regretful or worried, and she knows he probably wasn't really bothered, she is just VERY POLITE and that's the best she could come up with to say :'D ]

[ [: that's better, and d'awww. He nods, and smiles at her again.] I think he will be. Don't mention it, you know I'm always here if you need me.

And papa says maybe when I'm older I can come with him on the new ship, so I have to get older quickly... [ sits down on his bed with a THINKY FACE scuse me while I take up this invitation ] He won't even tell me really what happened last December yet... is it scary there, Mr. Lockon?
