[backdated to the 28th because LJ is a butt

I didn't want to make a big fanfare about it earlier because everyone was so troubled about the virus, but now that it seems to be well and truly over, I can post about it!! We just passed the international date line which means that today is my birthday and I am fourteen years old!!!

Well, I was in eighth grade when I turned fourteen, so that was my last year of middle school. Then I went to high school the next year, and I thought that made me so grown-up.

Yes! For example, you could drink too much at a party and drive your car over the edge of a cliff!! Or a girl could want to steal your boyfriend, and manage to get you arrested and deported! Or someone could smoke in the bathroom and light the school on fire!

That sounds more like stuff that just happens in the movies. I mean, people get in car accidents, but we don't really have cliffs in Illinois.
