008. [RL with Lockon]

[ She wasn't scared, she really wasn't scared! It was just dark, and running under high lockdown was very stressful, and there were strange banging noises, and it was almost worse now that Miss Trinity had shut down all the cameras so she didn't have any idea at all what was going on in Mr. Erde's room, and her papa had been yelling at the crew to find out what in the blazes was going on-- but she was a Mature Young Lady who wasn't afraid at all.

She didn't want to bother Papa and Mama, not when they were so busy, even though she knew that she could go to them about anything at any time. Besides, she had to show them that she was mature and helpful! Mr. Seiei had suggested she talk to Mr. Stratos, and since she was very sure he wasn't busy and he had been so kind before, she was now standing outside his room, knocking on the door. ]

Mr. Stratos? Are you in?

[If there was one thing that Lockon hated, it was feeling helpless. And without a Persona, that's exactly what he was in this situation, and it was giving him no end of frustration.

Of course, he wasn't sulking moodily in his room or anything like that. Of course not. He was just sticking to his room and staying calm and on alert. Not at all sulky or moody or-

Really, Mileina's interruption was pretty welcome. He dropped his communicator to the bed where he'd been sitting and crossed to the door, opening it even as he spoke. It might be a message, it might be something helpful he could do, it...wasn't likely, but still.]

I'm here. What's the problem?

Oh, um, there isn't a problem! I just didn't really have much of anything to do, and... would you mind if I came in for a little bit, Mr. Stratos? [ of course, this is just a nice friendly visit! Smile smile smile, she's fidgeting with the hem of her shirt but manages to sound moderately cheerful ]

[Of course, what kind of surrogate big brother would he be if he couldn't pick up on that forced cheerfulness? Maybe there was something he could do after all, even if it was just being here for Mileina. He stepped to the side with a nod and a reassuring smile.]

Ah, I understand. Sure, then, come in. I'm at a bit of a loose end too; there's not much to do during a lockdown, huh?

[ Enters and lets the door slide shut behind her ] Thank you, Mr. Stratos! I was doing some surveillance before Miss Trinity turned off the cameras, but I can't even do very much on the network right now, and-- [ fidget fidget ] --and I was reading some of the books that people lent me when I asked about stories, but um, there were some noises that kept distracting me-- oh, but I wasn't scared, though! [ fidget fidget fidget ] Because Mr. Erde's going to be all right, and everything's going to be back to normal, and I don't mind that everything's very hectic...

The only thing we can do is wait. This fog can't last forever, right? And when it disappears, without its affects he might just go back to normal on his own. If he doesn't, well, those people will still be around on the community afterwards. We could negotiate the secrecy in that situation.

We can work something out whatever happens, right? It'll be fine.

[and there is none of his own unease, worry or frustration in his tone, it's all determined, confident reassurance.]

[somehow it doesn't seem like a good idea to completely smash all your perceptions of him also Tieria would kill me if I told anyone how much he'd cried on me....]

Everyone gets scared sometimes, even Tieria. We're only human. And this isn't the best of situations; being scared is nothing to be ashamed of.

[ THAT IS A GOOD SIGN. ] I guess you could say I have. I'm sure, yeah. He's a strong guy, and he doesn't show it much, but he still feels emotions same as you or me, and that includes fear too. Like I said, everyone gets scared sometimes.

And papa says maybe when I'm older I can come with him on the new ship, so I have to get older quickly... [ sits down on his bed with a THINKY FACE scuse me while I take up this invitation ] He won't even tell me really what happened last December yet... is it scary there, Mr. Lockon?
