[ Mileina's waiting outside a Union theater; ever since the elevator collapse, the AEU had become a bit more difficult to get to quickly, so the west coast of the Union had become her preferred port of call. Because it's your first time in a movie theater, of course! I can see how not knowing the etiquette would distress you! [ she sits back and claps her hands together, satisfied with this deduction!! ]

Ah, yes that is exactly it! I know not of what to do ... [candy? is that candy - he's never had that sort before ...]

[ she follows his eyeline, and hands him the box ] Those are called Sno-cones! You can eat a bit now, but make sure you save most of them for the movie!

Then I shall abstain from trying them till then. [.... oh. that ended that exchange. An uncomfortable cough as he shifts more in his seat.]

That's what I try to do... but then I always end up eating half the popcorn during the previews!

[ she's happily munching away on the candy while watching the previews; they're standard fare-- a space opera about aliens, a children's movie with talking animals, a biopic about a singer-- but they'll probably be quite strange to someone who hasn't seen a movie before ]

[He's so enthralled by it all! His hand reaches for some candy, maybe at the same time that she is too...]

[ JUMPS AND SQUEAKS ]

[sadfhuoasfiuasdfio Jumps up too, staring at her] Is everything quite alright?

Yes everything is quite fine I was just a little startled that's all!! [ RUSHED WHISPER-YELL because we must be quiet in a movie theater!! ]

[Harshly whispering back as he sits down again, though he gives her a concerned look.] Are you sure?

[ ATTENTION FIRMLY ON THE MOVIE NOW shhhh larsa it's starting ]

[oh, he's watching, rapt. he won't even move throughout the entire movie, nor will he eat anything. HE GETS ALL HIS FOCUS.]

[ it is a dramatic tale of FRIENDSHIP and NOBLE GOALS and SEXY PILOTS and CORRUPT GOVERNMENTS and it also has more over-the-top action than a ten year old boy allowed all the Transformers action figures in existence ]

[.......... o-oh, he is just. very overwhelmed by this all. he might be clutching the seat.]

[ enjoy that shellshock larsa. As the lights come up and she picks up the empty popcorn bag, she notices his expression ]

Are you all right, Mr. Larsa?

No, no, I am just ... overwhelmed by all of this fascinating technology. [And that the entire movie hit too close to home, but whatever, she doesn't need to know that.]

[ you think it hits close to home for you :| ] Well, I suppose it might be a little bit of a shock! But it was very exciting, wasn't it?

[ she gets a bit of an uncharacteristically thoughtful look on her face as she starts making her way out of the row of seats ]

It's a little bit strange... it's not that I don't like the movie, but that's not how I remember it happening. Just from hearing the news reports, of course! [ she adds that part hastily ] Do you think that sort of thing happens a lot when people tell stories?
